Weekly Police Report, up to January 8th
Incidents reported and attended to during the past week:
January 2nd:
- 29 yr old male from Christchurch assaults 2 innocent people outside Riwaka Hotel after being ejected from a concert. Arrested.
- Minor fight between 2 females on Kaiteriteri beach. Youth aid folow up.
January 3rd:
- Domestic argument bweteen father and son Pethybridge St.
- 44 yr old Riwaka Male arrested for assault, assault with an instrument and wounding with intent. Occurred after the Shapeshifter concert overnight.
- Damage to Astrolab Shop front door High Street overnight - offender photo on town security cameras.
January 4th:
- Burglary reported from Jocelyn Ave house. 2 laptops stolen ( 1 x Toshiba Blue) the other beige/grey.
January 5th:
- 26 yr old Stoke male kicked out of the Tap resturant at Mapua. Police called. Arrested for breach of bail. Attempted to headbutt constable in the car and bit him. To Nelson cells.
- Motueka youth found breaching his bail - returned home.
- 53 yr old female drink driving on the Takaka Hill. Blew 985 mgr/l - limit is 400. Licence suspended immediately.
January 6th:
- Assisted male with on going psychiatric problems after the CHCH earthquakes.
- Domestic argument at Tudor street address.
- Domestic argument at Grey Street.
- 17 yr old caught driving whilst suspended in Mapua. Car impounded.
- 2 car accident cnr Swamp and Umukuri Rd.
- Blue metal wheelbarrow with orange wheel stolen from King Edward Street.
- 39 yr old Kaiteriteri female drink driving. Blew 700mgr/l - limit 400. Car Impounded.
January 7th:
- 15 yr old Motueka youth caught driving whilst forbidden. Car impounded. Youth aid follow up.
- Domestic family argument in Mapua.
- Domestic argument Poole Street.
- Yellow spray paint on rear of Huia Clubrooms and Whitwells.
- Youth found trespassing at Kaiteriteri. Arrested and delivered to parents care in Richmond.
January 8th:
- Male arrested for insulting laungage Pah Street.
- 2 Motueka males arrested for disorderly behaviour near the Post Office hotel.
- 24 yr old male from the Graham Valley arrested for wilful damage.
