TDC's Steve Elkington replied that at this time he cannot indicate timing of the work requested and how many could be built in the upcoming financial year. Council will try to use the list to for priority order, but "wherever there is a crossing required and not on the board's priority list at the same intersection, or one that is within the CBD or on an arterial/collector road route, the Council reserves the right to adjust the programme accordingly". He added that "closer to the time of advertising the contract for the work, a list of pram crossing sites ... will be forwarded to the board for its information".
