The state of Footpaths in the Motueka ward

Streets with no footpaths, Motueka:

- Poole St (west) from Atkins Street to 108 Poole Street
- Huffam Street from Monahan Street to Old Wharf Roas, and along north side of Old Wharf Road to the Recreation Centre
- North Street from Everett Street to the cul-de-sac
- Pah Street (west) from No. 90 to the Te Awhina marae. (A gravel footpath exists but needs to be upgraded to meet current engineering standards.)
- High Street South and Wildman Road to the Richards Reserve. A gravel footpath exists but needs to be upgraded to meet current engineering standards.)
- Thorp Street (north) from No. 52 to Fearon Street. (This is a popular walking area, for walkers going to Staples Street and the Kumeras / Raumanuka Walkway.)
- Hau Road, southern side to Queen Victoria Street
- College Street (west) from the existing footpath towards Chamberlain Street
- Chamberlain Street southern side to the end of housing

Streets with no footpaths, Kaiteriteri:

- Stephen's Bay corner to Kaiteriteri
- Martin's Farm Road

Streets with footpaths on one side only:
(Note, these are centrally situated streets with relatively busy pedestrian traffic)

- Vosper and Saxon Streets from Greenwood Street to Fearon Street
- Inglis Street from High Street to Moffatt Street
- York Street from No. 23 to Greenwood Street
- Woodland Avenue from Thorp's Bush to the end
- Atkins Street from Pah Street to Parker Street
- Wilkie Street from Poole Street to Parker Street

Streets with no kerb or channel:

- Hau Road
- Chamberlain Street
- Queen Vistoria Street frok Whakarewa Street to Pah Street
- Parker Street, north side
- Staples Street

Ranked 1 (most urgent): The section of West Bank Road from Old Mill Road to Mickell Road.
2: Riwaka-Kaiteriteri Road from Rowling Rd to link up with an existing footpath near Martin Farm Road.
8: Sandy Bay-Marahau Road, a pedestrian bridge over the Marahau River to Harvey Road to link to the nationalo park
9: School Road in Riwaka, in front of Riwaka School.
11. Huffam St in Motueka from Old Wharf Rd to Monahan St.
13. Old Wharf Rd from Huffam St to an existing footpath to the Rec Centre.
14. North St Motueka from Everett St to the end.
15. Poole St Motueka from Atkins St to Queen Victoria St.
17. Queen Victoria St from Green Lane to Whakarewa St.
